Angola, Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Tunisia - the 5 teams qualified for the World Cup 2006 have been a surprise to many: What is behind that?

It can't be true! How could Nigeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Morocco, South Africa be missing? What will be 2010?

Where is the next African Nations Cup? Where can I get tickets?

Who are the great African Football Clubs? Could they compete in an European league?

How can I retrieve a shirt of those clubs?

Why and under which circumstances is globalisation such a threat for African football?

How would football uniforms look like if the modern game had been developed at the black continent?

How do the wives of African players spend their time?

I saw a film about juju in African football. Can I hire those guys for my team?

The Information Bureau not only collects informations and media on the topic but also on who is investigating, writing, filming etc to be able to connect those people for a greater impact of Africa and African football in the media. It also has collected exhibition material for schools, including documentaries, etc.

A second string is to promote the topic on a more artistic and unconventional route like the famous T-shirt 'demo' at the World Cup 2006, and so make it popular not only among writers but (other) artists, too.

So since Jan 19th 2006 the 'InfoBAF' (or 'IBAF') has open to investigate into questions like the ones above, start mutual projects, or just have a chat at a coffee, on at the times to the right.

And of course - if you can't make it to Frankfurt - feel free to contact the IBAF through mail or phone as you like.

Please leave your mail-address, so that IBAF is able to inform you on actual events and shortterm changes of opening times.
